Standard Consultation

On-site visit that includes system design options and goals. We provide advice based on your space and growing conditions. The purpose of the consultation is to assess your outdoor space and provide a basic design plan based on your preferences, garden goals, and environmental factors.
Site Assessment:
Visit your garden to evaluate the space, including soil type, sunlight exposure, wind patterns, and existing plant life.
Note garden features such as existing structures (e.g., fences, pathways, sheds) and how they could influence the new design.
Client Preferences:
Discuss your goals for the garden, including desired aesthetic (e.g., formal vs. naturalistic), functionality (e.g., vegetable garden, relaxation space), and maintenance level.
Identify plant preferences, including flowers, shrubs, and trees, as well as any allergies or specific dislikes.
Design Concept Development:
Develop a preliminary garden layout based on the site assessment and client preferences, ensuring proper plant placement considering sunlight, shade, and wind protection.
Suggest use of both perennial and annual plants for seasonal interest, as well as a balance of color, texture, and height.
Propose a mix of native plants and drought-tolerant species to reduce water consumption and promote sustainability.
Incorporate ideas about functional elements like pathways, seating areas, or raised garden beds, based on client needs for relaxation or gardening activities.
